 OUR BACKGROUND

A passion to improve the lives of disadvantaged animals in the poorer communities led to iZinja being formed in March 2014.

                OUR VISION

We want to establish in these communities a sense of responsibility and pride for their animals. Our main focus is sterilisation, regular dipping & deworming, assistance and advice on general health care & shelter.
By working hand in hand with the community we believe the lives of the animals and their owners will be uplifted.

Izinja work primarily in Wells Estate (a fast growing Port Elizabeth township between Bluewater Bay and Motherwell)

Adoptable cats

                 HOW WE DO IT

STERILISATIONS

We rely on cash donations from the public to fund the sterilisations.

KENNELS

Shepherd’s Field Kibbutz in St Albans

Port Elizabeth make kennels for us as part of their

patient rehabilitation programme.

The materials are sourced free of charge or donated.

Unwanted kennels are also donated to us from time

to time in various conditions.

These kennels are repaired and distributed.

All kennels are issued to owners of sterilised dogs at no charge.

DONATED GOODS

General donated goods from the public include blankets, cushions, kennel materials, dog collars & leads,  dried food and tinned food for dogs and cats.

All these donations help us make many dogs & cats lives that little bit more comfortable.
